An awesome team from Pasadena City College ran or walked in the Homeboy 5k.🏃♀️🏃 Team PCC Core: Chasing Justice and Equity was one of the biggest teams at the 5k and we were fourth highest in fundraising for Homeboy. 🎉A big thank you to all of our supporters. Most importantly we built connections and community. As one participant said, "This was such a joy, such a blessing, and a vision of community!" So true.
PCC has a team of over 100 people running and walking in the Homeboy 5k. We would love your support with a contribution or, YES, you can join the team! The faculty and students spearheading this team are active in PCC CORE (Community Overcoming Recidivism through Education). PCC CORE supports formerly incarcerated and system impacted students and helps students’ successful reentry into their communities. The University Club of Pasadena recently established an Education Foundation. The UClub Education Foundation has chosen to direct their hard work and fundraising towards scholarships for Pasadena City College students! This celebration honored John and Ginny Cushman and the Education Foundation’s amazing milestone of raising over $100,000.
